Lion in the thicket

Satan lurks. Like a lion in the thicket.

Waiting to seize a victim.

Cursing, deceit, and violence fill his mouth. From generation to generation. Oppression and terror? His language and modus operandi.

But into that thicket of devouring and death comes the Good Shepherd.

Seeking the lost.

God sees

For God sees the trouble. The dark. The grief.

He has taken the matter into His omnipotent and holy hands.

And so it is that we, the helpless, the fatherless, come to Him.

Entrusting ourselves to our Father in heaven.

The holy, holy, holy. Lord God Almighty.

God loved

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes….”

Everyone who believes.

So that everyone who believes in Him will not perish. In the thicket.

But have life. Eternal life. Abundant life.

Truth shouts

Truth shouts. To the enemy of our souls.

The lion lurking in the thicket is defeated by the unblemished Lamb of God.

The One and Only, who overcomes sin. And conquers death.

By His death, burial, and resurrection.

Lie of the thicket

Rejoice. Give thanks. And go.

Go share this Good News. And make disciples.

For into the hopeless dark enters the Light of the world.

Exposing the lie of the thicket. Setting captives free.

Alleluia.
