Proverbs.
Not wasting words.
Telling it like it is.
Proverbs 12:1 says,
“…but one who
hates correction
is stupid.”
Hmmm.
Yes.

Stubborn
Correction can burn.
And pride steps up.
Not willing to be
called out
and corrected.
I confess. Been there.
Done that.
Stubborn.
Haughty.
Stupid.
Blind
Blind
to my own sin.
Needing
consistent
discipline
from a loving Father.
Until my eyes
open
to see.
And my heart
surrenders.
Proverbs
In the process?
Growing.
Knowing Him.
Loving and longing
for Him.
Deeper. Wider. Closer.
So, every now and then,
I need
Proverbs clarity.
And the reminder:
“Don’t be stupid!”
What about you?
Does a certain proverb stick in your mind? How has God used Proverbs in your life?

I had a trusted person speak similar words to me recently! It brought freedom that I didn’t know was possible!
