He doesn’t jump to resolve. Or rescue. The psalmist is moving through his pain and fear.
Moving through the murk, into trust.
He knows who God is.
And cries out to Him.

“My Sabbath”
On Sabbath, the people are eating food from heaven. Manna. Gathered the day before.
Every other day of the week, they’re out getting just enough for their daily needs. But the day before Sabbath they gather double the amount.
Necessary preparation. Before a holy day. His.
“My Sabbath,” God says repeatedly in Scripture.
Day of rest.

Wait. Breathe.
Be still and know that He is God.
Not an easy sell to busy minds. Crowded calendars. Never-ending notifications.
But necessary.
Needful.
