Integrity. Its words and ways necessary in sites of work and ministry. Homes. Inner rooms. Behind closed doors. In the street, store, outdoor space. Every place.
Intentionally we seek direction in Christ through His Word, in worship and study with faithful believers. Deliberately we stand firm against the father of lies, whose heart language is deception. In this day and age, influence is more than just the people we hang out with. Constant exposure in social media, podcasts, broadcasts swallows the everyday with spin and innuendo. Unrelenting noise of subtle untruths and bold deceit. Fruitless chatter. Casually weaving its way into our minds. Then slipping through our lips. Truth, the unintended casualty. Keep us abiding. Seeking wisdom in the Word, through prayer. Daily. Help us discern and welcome godly counsel from Your Body. Give us undivided hearts. Integrity. That we may fear and honor Your name, not man’s. Always. Amen.
What about you?
What has the Lord taught you about living a life of integrity?

I remembered yesterday a very serious discussion my daddy had with me when I let a word slip from my mouth that he didn’t like.
I was probably 10 years old. He asked me if I knew what the word meant and I admitted that I didn’t know. He strongly warned me that he would not tolerate bad language and that I should not use words if I didn’t know their meaning.
I also remember him describing words as buckets that you poured over someone – either for blessing or for cursing.
I miss him so much!
“Words as buckets…”—what an image! Thank you for sharing about your daddy and what he taught you, friend. What a blessing.
Love the poem!
Thank you 😊
