Anticipate

Fog hugs the ground as it flows. From the Pacific Ocean. Over mountains.

Into Marin County.

The year we live there, I anticipate this view. Each morning. As I drive the kids to school.

Spectacular beauty.

Freely view

Daily panorama. Not something I have to pay for.  Or even search out.

I freely view the Creator’s hand at work. His perfect design.

Fog and cloud. Effortlessly. Smoothly. Quickly. Running over the hills.

Resting here and there. In valleys.

Lose sight

But after familiarity, I sometimes don’t see.

And in the daily routine, often lose sight of wonder. Forget to examine what is right before my very eyes.

Ignoring awe for the heart.

And rest for my soul.

Created for His glory

The Maker of heaven and earth designs this beauty. The ebb and flow.

And He’s the very One who designs me. You.

I forget sometimes. There is purpose and plan in every fine detail of how He made each one of us.

Precisely created for His glory.

Made to worship the One and Only.

Anticipate

Today I choose to look. Anticipate the beautiful.

I lift my eyes.

Watching fog sweep down.  Rain move across a valley. Wind travel through leafy trees.

And simply praise the name of the Lord our God.

My rest is found in Him alone.

What about you?

Do you forget to see? What beauty of the Lord’s making has brought rest to your soul recently?

Wonderful reminder to look and see, even taste and see the love and glory of God.

Just this morning I was treated to an abundance of beauty in an unexpected location! So true that we forget to look!

I would love to hear from you!
