Walls of Jericho stand tall. Towering.
Encircling darkened nations. Cities. Communities. Hearts.
Looming large and impossible in our eyes.
Stone upon stone. Holding firm.
In opposition to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The new year approaches.
And we’re looking sideways at the year that was.
2020.
Planned calendar undone.
Change unexpected.
Grief unwanted.
Up close and personal reminders
of all we do not know.
All we cannot see.
The challenge given to us that day was purposeful. Powerful.
To stay in the Word like our lives depend on it. Because they do. And to speak the Word like their lives depend on it. Because they do.
We caught the urgency. To share with the millions. And with the neighbor across the street.
