Abundance

Abundance.

Trees in spring. Blooms appearing overnight.

Colors. Soft and brilliant.

Then, breezes sweep through. And blossoms fill the air.

Abundance scattered. Beauty all around.

Abundance

The Word speaks abundance. His glorious grace “lavished on us in the Beloved One” (Ephesians 1:6).

Redemption and forgiveness in Him “according to the riches of His grace that He richly poured out on us with all wisdom and understanding” (Ephesians 1:7-8).

Lavished. Richly poured out.

Abundance.

Life abundant

Jesus said “a thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance” (John 10:10).

As believers, we experience God’s love poured out in our hearts through the Spirit (Romans 5:5).

And we know overflowing hope. How? By the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).

Life abundant. Love poured out. Hope overflowing.

We can live daily with true abundance.

Scarcity

Yet how often do I shrink back. And live like I’m lacking.

Walking in the narrow confines of my own ability to love or hope.

Scarcity can rule the day. If I let it.

But His mercies are new. Every morning.

His indwelling Spirit exposes the lie of self-sufficiency. And brings to mind the Truth. His faithfulness.

Abundance

This life in Him is meant for overflow.

Generously spilling out hope, joy, truth. To those around us.  Beauty in abundance.

Let’s bear witness to the Maker of heaven and earth who sent His Beloved Son, that we might have life eternal.

And abundant.

What about you?

What has the Lord taught you about overflowing hope? And how to live the abundant life for His glory?
