“Yes, Lord.”
Take a deep breath.
Then step out by faith.
Walk into unknown waters.
Enter cross-currents of
something new.

Wherever He leads
Overarching vision inspires.
As I commit to go
wherever, whenever
He leads.
But time passes.
With miles journeyed
across oceans. Borders.
And along the way
reality weighs in.
All that comes with
“Yes, Lord.”
So, I revisit the call.
Consider His Word.
Contemplate the cost.
With prayer and surrender.
Keeping on
Paul uses certain images
out of experience.
Running the race.
Fighting the good fight.
In sometimes grueling
overwhelming
places.
He keeps on keeping on
through persecution and prison.
Called to serve
And as we’re called to serve
among people
Lost. But resistant.
Loved. Yet disinterested.
Broken. But looking elsewhere.
I need these words
to press on.
Persevere in the hard
seasons.
Keep listening.
Walk
Paul speaks another word
to the common,
measured,
daily
life.
Walk.
Walk in a manner worthy.
Walk as children of light.
Walk not as unwise,
but as wise.
Filled
with the Spirit.
Walk in love.
Yes, Lord
“Yes, Lord” is the
only way to
fully live.
In the walk.
In the race.
In the fight.
And He provides
all that we need
for life and godliness.
He is enough.
Alleluia.
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21
What about you?
Have you ever said, “Yes, Lord,” then questioned your decision? What helps you persevere in the hard season?

This is well timed for me this week. God’s timing is perfect but my understanding is not!
What helped and helps me persevere? Trusting Him. Trusting He’s in control. Trusting He knows best. Trusting.
Amen. Thanks for sharing.
A bit late reading these but this is a good word for me. Love how you took the word “walk” in other places. I’ve been contemplating some new directions and was thinking how sometimes we keep walking even when it’s uncomfortable or uneasy…To keep walking.
