Stepping out into early morning air. First breath of dawn. Stillness.
Sky somewhere between dark and light.
Not even visible. Yet. But all creation anticipates the all-out glory of what’s coming.
Streetlights dim. Even the moon and stars fade. At the certain, steady rise of God’s sun.
Full light of day is coming.
Revealed
Then, the unseen.
All around us.
Earlier hidden. By night.
Now slowly revealed.
Becoming visible.
Moment by moment.
In ever-increasing brightness.
And the birds sing.
Fog and shadow
The path of long obedience feels hidden, at times.
Unseen.
Walking through woods. In fog and shadow. Leaves on trees undefined in pre-dawn night.
We can’t lean on man-made lamps or our own understanding to walk this path.
But we are not alone.
Full light of Day
His Word reveals our God and His ways. His Spirit indwells and moves. In and through His children.
His Body encourages through worship and fellowship. Learning to “one another” together.
We hold fast to the Morning Star. The One who brought us out of darkness into no ordinary light.
He is the true and marvelous Radiance. And this daily walk with Him leads us toward the full light of Day.
Glory
On that Day, all will be made new.
No need for street lights. Or the rising sun.
For night will be no more.
And glimpses will turn to full-on glory. All light and full color in the presence of our King.
Alleluia!
Come, Lord Jesus.
What about you?
What reminds you to anticipate the full light of Day?

Dear Susan… thank you for writing these deeply supernatural words. Our mighty Helper gave you this depth of understanding and wrote through you, my faithful sister.
After my early morning time with our Creator, Savior, and Lord, my dog and I enter into the darkness to witness the transition time you penned. I plan to be at a particular place as the first light breaks forth. The dawning of a new day… a new song to be sung. A longing deep in my soul for the Day of the Lord… when all the groaning ceases and all is in full blown worship to our creator, for all eternity!!
God bless you for this.
Grace and peace be with you!🙌🏽👑🙏🏽
What a Day that will be! “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Timothy 1:17
Watching a sunrise always makes me anticipate heaven!
Yes! Glorious 🙌🏼
