Preconceived outcome looms. Hinders. Weakens the witness. “Do you believe this is true?” A simple question. One I can ask after sharing the gospel. But everything in my mind braces for resistance, remembering frequent rejections. Anxious thoughts pile up. Expecting the “no.”
You reveal
Later. After the fact. Your Word calls out my fears. And I remember this truth: You reveal Your righteousness in the sight of nations. (Psalm 98:2) You reveal. You. Not I. And some do believe. Some say “yes.” Turning to follow the One and Only Savior of the world. I am simply called to faithfully tell.
Preconceived outcome
Make me bold in the face of doubt. Help me resist the inertia of preconceived outcome. Keep Your child alert and speaking the Way of Truth. In any place or circumstance. With those who do not know, have not heard, seek to know truth, or seem to care less. No matter how impossible, You are there. Seeking to save the lost.
Mystery revealed
Releasing my preconceived outcome, I rest in Your Word. Your Commission has not changed. “Go and make disciples of all nations….” (Matthew 28:28-20) From here to the ends of the earth. And in Your time, we see. Mystery revealed. Veils removed. Hearts changed. Lives transformed through simply believing and receiving the gospel. Alleluia. Glory to our King.
What about you?
Do you watch for the yes or expect the no when you share with gospel with someone? What helps you stay alert and speaking the Way of Truth?

Yes, we keep praying!
Very timely word. Thank you. Our hope is in the One who can do the impossible—touch hearts and transform lives.
Thanks for sharing, friend.
I was reminded that I didn’t choose Him – that He called to me and showed Himself to me! Then I responded in faith. Praying for those I love to have the same experience!
Amen, sister!
