Something new

Something new. Blank page of another year. Month. Day.

Unwritten. Unspoken. Unknown by me.

At the open door sits fresh, white snow as far as the eye can see. Waiting for the first footprint.

Looks like hope.

Something new

This past week, the Greatest Gift whispers and shouts the true. Reminding His children. Reminding me. We are not alone.

Our world weighs heavy with grief, loss, unwanted change, upheaval. But amid world crises, family hurt, unanswered questions, He sees. He knows.

“The hopes and fears of all the years” can overwhelm. But He is the I Am. Immanuel. God with us.

And this is not the end of things.

Something new is on the way.

By faith

So, this week I look out at the coming year.

Waiting. Watching.

And remembering the One who is, who was, and who is to come.

I rest secure. Abiding in Christ. Clothed in His righteousness. Held by His sovereignty.

And step through the door. Walking by faith. Into something new.

I read Ecclesiastes 3 this morning “He has set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
I think I will hang on to this!

dear friend (s) words were never more true. In our worship we have been focusing on God as WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, AND PRINCE OF PEACE. He’s got it (and us) all covered. As we navigate Gerald with Alzeheimers and knee replacement for me in the new year, I will choose to focus on HOPE, and wait to see how God will use us going forward as we Glorify his name.

Dear friend, we’re praying for you all. “May the God of HOPE fill you with all Joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Rom 15:13).

Thank you!
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
Today, December 31, 2024 marks 52 years since I asked our Lord Jesus to take residence in my heart and lead my life. So thankful today and every day for His forgiveness of my sin and his love and leadership in my life. To Him be all glory!

I would love to hear from you!
