Unto us a Child is born.
Unto us. In a broken world. Where sorrow runs deep. And grief overwhelms.
Where loss breaks our hearts.
And we forget to breathe.
Shepherd
Unto us a Child is born. A Son is given.
Unto us. The Shepherd comes to save. Laying down His life for us. And rising in victory over sin and death.
And the God of all comfort comes near. Sustains. Holds close the hurting.
Comforts the displaced.
Light
When we feel the night close in, remember. The Light has come. And darkness cannot overcome it.
So wait in quiet hope this Christmas. Listen. Rest.
Draw near to the One who says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30)
Unto us
Unto us a Child is born.
Unto us.
Behold, the Wonderful Counselor. Mighty God. Everlasting Father. Prince of Peace.
Take heart and worship our King.
Glory, glory, hallelujah.
