Necessity

You reveal mystery in the quiet, often.

Solitude.

Hard won in certain seasons. Mere breaths of time when children are young. Random moments, captured here and there.

But out of necessity, we take them. Make time. And draw near.

Necessity

These measured steps in the path of Your commands feel mundane at times. Simple. Ordinary.

But Your Spirit reminds. Impresses the priority. What is needful.

Calling us to see and hear. With full-on attention.

Teaching us to listen wholeheartedly. To the living Truth resident in Scripture.

Luminous

Luminous words in Your Word give light for the day. The hour.

And the ripples of these moments extend. Continue. Showing up years later in prayers. Thoughts. Conversations.

Verses remembered for such a time.

As this.

Seeking You

So today I come. By faith, calling on the name of the Lord.

Seeking You first. Deliberately setting the place. For receiving daily bread.

Take my scattered thoughts. Rein them in with the steady rhythm of Your Word.

Give me wisdom to understand. And obey.

Reign, King of my heart.

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.”
Matthew 6:33

One of the verses that keeps me on track Matt. 6:33 – it was the beginning of a deeper walk with Him and a start down the less-traveled path. I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Here’s to the unknowable with The Shepherd. Lead on!!!

I would love to hear from you!
