Now it makes sense

In the most unlikely places, a song of truth plays. Or Scripture is repeated. Even memorized. Without explanation.

And the words somehow settle in the brains of young ones. Not fully grasped or understood. Tucked in a corner.

Until one day, clarity comes. And the distant, vague memory is brought to life.

“Now it makes sense.”

1971. Our family travels to a town in the mountains for the mission’s annual meeting.  

And I’m participating in the youth gathering.

What I remember? The impact still felt today?

Father’s Day

Today we’re honoring fathers. 

And I feel the gravity of the almost. After what happened a few weeks ago. 

My husband had a heart attack. As he was driving down the highway. Thankfully, I was with him. And able to get him to an emergency room quickly.

Just in time, the cardiologist said.
