He doesn’t jump to resolve. Or rescue. The psalmist is moving through his pain and fear.
Moving through the murk, into trust.
He knows who God is.
And cries out to Him.

Moving through
Sometimes the cry comes from wilderness wait. Or panic in the pit.
Not always resting in His sovereignty. Or immediately announcing His unfailing love.
But detailing the fury of his enemies. Delivering desperate requests. Questions.
And moving through to praise.
Lift my eyes
Today, there’s no need for me to jump immediately to resolve and rescue.
I can start where I am.
And make my way through the muddle. Detailing the dark. Naming the enemy.
I lift my eyes to the Lord and speak the reality of a situation. And the load lightens.
Leads me through
The Rock beneath my feet remains firm. Even when I falter.
Like the psalmist I cry out freely. To my Lord and my God. Ever Present. Powerful. Shepherd of His sheep.
Hope rises as I speak the struggle.
He hears. Sees.
I walk by faith with the One who knows the way. And leads me through.
What about you?
Have you been quick to jump to resolve and rescue? What has the Lord taught you about moving through and crying out?

Quick to try to solve the problems-that’s my nature! I have seen God change me and I still pray for His timing and His wisdom especially when I want to attempt solutions on my own.
Aren’t we all moving through something in our lives? I think so! Some places are huge, and some small, but we keep on moving. Praise HIM for HIS faithfulness!!! We can trust in HIM as we move, asking HIM to take our feet and put them just where HE wants them to be. Holding on to HIS HAND!
