Someday

When Someday seems too far, the fragile heart mourns. Torn. Tender.

Walking in the weight of sorrow.

Sitting in the dark.

And we cry out for rocky paths made smooth. The broken place, whole. Strong winds and high waves, stilled.

Longing to affirm the true. And say we are crushed but not in despair.

Simple steps

Our understanding flawed, we can only wait for wisdom in the temporary space. Sit still as a noisy world whirls all around, leaving us behind. Seems like.

The challenge looms.

To stay firmly rooted in the Word of God. Meditating on and praying words certain and sure.

To remain connected in Your Body. Walking by faith. Together.

Simple, necessary steps. To turn our eyes from what feels like deep shadow unknowns. Fixing them on the Way of Truth, the Giver of Life.

Someday is not far in Your eyes.

Your Someday

You say Light cannot be overcome by the darkness. And some days we must trust it is so.

Hope filters through the simply sewn seams of our earthly tents. And promise holds us together in the night.

For the Rider on the white horse is coming. The One called Faithful and True.

And we worship today in the certainty of Your Someday.

“The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).

What about you?

Have you been through seasons where Someday seemed too far? How do you keep in mind His faithfulness?

We were challenged yesterday by 2 Peter 3 to remember that God’s time is not our time. Gosh it is hard when we want something NOW.
Looking back, I can see proof of His faithfulness and love in every situation and that gives me hope – because He Never Changes!

Often when “someday” will come. I think I keep going by remembering HIs promises from His Word. From remembering how He has been faithful in the past.

I would love to hear from you!
