About the writer
Born in Alabama, raised in Indonesia, I became a world traveler at the tender age of 2. Started writing in 1st grade and haven’t stopped. Upon returning to the United States, I studied art and interior design at Samford U. Then joined a magazine team as their editorial assistant.
A few years later, I moved to Texas. Studied theology and communication arts for an MA in Communications at Southwestern. There Todd and I met and fell in love. We married in 1987 and are the parents of three wonderful young adults. Since 2021, we’ve welcomed a daughter-in-law and son-in-law.
Walking by faith
Who am I? A follower of Jesus Christ and child of our loving heavenly Father. Learning to abide in Christ daily through His Word and prayer, by His Spirit, and in the fellowship of believers.
Since 1991, our family has had the privilege of following His lead across cultures. Calling several countries in South and Southeast Asia “home.” In 2017 we returned to the USA and now reside in Virginia.
About the blog
The blog? A traveler’s notebook of sorts. Reflections on truth. Revealed in the ordinary and the unlikely. On the mountainside and in the urban wilderness.
Heart-cries from the struggle to stay rooted in the temporary place.
Part memoir, part devotional. A journal of my walk with the One who knows the way.
“Teach me Your way, O Lord,
and I will walk in Your truth;
Give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear Your name.”
Psalm 86:11
