Chasing memories.
In a season crowded with reminders.
Decor. Music. Stories. Photographs. Taking us back.
We’re looking for a simpler time. Before complex issues came to our attention. And weighty matters entered the picture.
Before we knew.
Chasing memories
Chasing memories.
And child-like wonder beckons at the manger. With Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus.
In fields. With shepherds and their sheep. Watching angels fill the sky.
On the road to Bethlehem. With magi. Following a stunning star. Carrying precious gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Gifts for the newborn King.
Hope
Chasing memories.
And we find in dark night and candle light, One who is holy and true. Beautiful. The Son worthy of our worship.
Immanuel. Savior and Lord.
He is the hope that overflows. Even in shadow and deep valley. Whispering promise in the place of loss and pain.
Peace.
Rest
Chasing memories.
And we rest in the One who remains the same.
Yesterday, today, and forever.
O praise the name of the Lord our God.
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope
by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13

I never thought about it~but, yes, I’m a memory chaser! Mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa all worked together to make our childhood memories the best! I tried to do the same for my kids. I do like tradition but try to incorporate something new also!
Me too. Thankful for special memories and the “something new” as we celebrate our King.
Lovely, Susan. Look for an email.
I will. Thank you, Ellie!
Psalm 27 spoke to my heart “Wait for the LORD; be strong, take heart, and wait for the LORD.”
I am too easily swept into the hurricane of busy life that surrounds me. And sometimes when my heart hurts that busywork keeps me from remembering.
Thanks for the good word!
A verse to live by. Thanks for sharing, friend.

I bow .., I bring nothing to you that is worthy of your love except my poor, wretched and brokenness …
