Today we’re honoring fathers.
And I feel the gravity of the almost. After what happened a few weeks ago.
My husband had a heart attack. As he was driving down the highway. Thankfully, I was with him. And able to get him to an emergency room quickly.
Just in time, the cardiologist said.
Giving thanks
So, this Father’s Day I’m giving thanks to the Lord in a special way. For my husband.
The father of our three.
Also known as Dad. Daddio. Pops. Popsicle. Papa-Ji.
Terms of endearment signaling the closeness and connection our kids have with him.
Hard day
As I write, I’m deeply aware this is a hard day for others. Stirring sorrow. Grief.
We have friends who’ve lost their beloved suddenly and unexpectedly. In the past year.
So, I pray for them His peace.
Comfort from the God of all comfort.
Heavenly Father
Our lives on earth are but a mist. Short in the eternal scheme of things.
But in Christ we serve and celebrate a heavenly Father.
He is sovereign over us. And the days of our lives.
Rest in that truth today.

Susan, so thankful for Todd and that he is doing better. I know the feeling of the almost..but then God says, not yet. I know God will use him abundantly as always. Praying for him and you..not easy being the spouse.
Thank you, sister.
The almost makes the not yet so real and meaningful. Love to you and Todd.
Yes and amen, sister. Love you!
Susan, I was so shocked to hear this about Todd. So very thankful for the Lord’s constant presence and care as He got the two of you to the hospital in time. Blessings on you, Todd, and your 5 as you all continue living for Jesus. ♥️🙏🏽

I continue to pray for Todd’s recovery! May you both rest and be refreshed!
